I thought this might be of interest to some readers. Picked it up in a junk shop in minehead. I couldn`t believe what I was seeing at first and thought that 1/2 was going to be missing. But no, a complete kit with shaft, prop rudderand even the tissue to cover the balsa hull. Not bad for a fiver

thanks bob, I`ve got a mint skyleader set on 27meg (and 1 on 35 meg) to go with it. just need new nicads for it. not sure what size motor though. a 540 on 7.2v or 8.4v ? any ideas?

nice veron advert from 1966 mag. 75/0 s (£3/15 sh) alot of money in them days. and yes bob it is balsa. am going to fit my skyleader set and possibly the old macgregor esc. got to fit the radio with new nicads first though

Can i assume the kit might be that old (1966) too or does anybody have a clue to when it was launched, I have a simmular kit to box pictured above.

sorry all havn`t been on for ages my apologies. been messing with the flying machines while summer was here. and ian yes a fiver. the hull frame was already made hence i couldn`t take templates of the bulkheads it just needed skinning.suprisingly everything (ply/balsa/tissue/plan and instructions) were complete and in amazing condition. all fittings were in there as well. I`m in the process of fitting a skyleader 27 meg radio system (also original and 1st class condition apart from deacs) and I`ve got a macgregor speed controller. I wouldnt want to put an "old sparky" motor in though so will experiment with some new 1s i have. it would be nice to have an old diesel in there though. glad you like it she is nice
