Tsekoa II

Hi Guys

Anyone who has built the Tsekoa II. I need the paint colour used on the Hull. I do not have instructions and cannot determine the colour from the pictures. Some sort of grey. Not the coast guard version please.

Alas my scanner no workee but Humbrol Grey No 64  FOR

Hull above waterline. Inside of stern and bow bulwarks

all fittings to inside of bulwarks

Lower half of super structure 40mm up from deck level

All stern hatch and hold covers. wheelhouse roof and wind deflector

Anchor winch. Inside of wheelhouse. Window frames.

Though it does say on their Prototype they used were Halford car spray for the Red oxide and Military grey (Halfords Acrylic Primer} then Humbrol enamels for the smaller details

When model was completed and waterslide transfers applied. The whole of the with outer painted surfaces were sprayed with thinned satin polyurethane varnish. We favour Ronseal Satin Exterior avoid ''quick drying'' types as generally not waterproof .

Thanks for the help. Humbrol paints freely available in South Africa. I do have the complete crane. I will post my progress in due time but appreciate your help. It clarifies a lot of questions.

Sorry for asking again. I would like to know the colour of the main deck as well. You stated the wheelhouse roof and wind deflector to be grey as well am i correct?

On your first run I would tape of the Scuppers she can take on water at the least ripple.

Did you know the real one is now electric

Thanks for the advice. Still working on the wheelhouse roof. Ready to be painted. Appreciate your comment. Electric? Cannot hold back technology.
