Hi, Ray, Back to the TSB thread! yes I have been doing work on Veronica, I might be putting the horse before the cart but I have made all the masts and spars first, when they were finished I thought if I set them up on a false deck ie. a piece of MDF, the only thing that is going to change when fitted to the hull is the length of the various stays and of course the material they are made from, I could then make up paper patterns for the sails and and make them, at the moment I have just started on the staysail, that only leaves the mizzen to make, the hull is my winter project, so by next year I hope to have a fully rigged and functioning Thames Barge to sail.
Thanks to you and Mattias for showing the way to make sails for TSB's it has made the job so much easier, and to Tom who has sent me information on the rigging details, I think I will finish up with part model rigging and part scale rigging so that I have a boat that is easy to handle but still looks like a TSB as far as possible.
Regards.
Eddie
