As I am trying to help a member, I figured this would be the place to ask.

When I got this plan two decades ago +, it was a folded plan. Since then it has been stored rolled.

It has creases and is fragile. I need to illuminate the existing creases to make the plan more flat, but will need some creases as the library can only scan A3 at most. There are no photocopier shops locally.

So, bearing in mind the fragility and need to make A3 copyable, what is the best method please. Again I cannot get a sheet of paper big enough ( A3 being the biggest ) to stick the plan to possibly.

      Advise please…

      Thanks, rich.

          What is the plan?

If a commercial plan you might be able to obtain another less fragile copy.

Thanks guys, any further ideas like damping the paper on a flat sheet, placing another sheet on top and just let it dry, or a steam iron or similar ?

              Sea Commander plan.

I don't really trust the post office since I paid for registered post of a parcel needing a signature and included tracking. It cost me nearly £6 for them to "mislay" the parcel, it was never seen again and the tracking didn't work. I strongly suspected the local post master as they lost a parcel just as I was handing over mine !

He always seemed to have that "suspicious grin" when serving me at the counter.

But I will enquire of the Blackpool guys, thanks for that. I live in cold damp biblical rain Snowdonia.

If it is just the creases that are the problem get some Sellotape Magic tape and apply to both sides. Once applied it is virtually invisible.

                    Hi Rich,

I'm sure Tony could ask Harry Smith 1 for a pdf version of the Sea Commander plan ??

Much easier than individual A3 sheets scanned and stuck together !!

3m Magic tape is similar to that described by Chris, It's brilliant stuff as it doesn't shrink

                    Regards Ray

Well done Ray, it's 3M Scotch Magic Tape, was going from memory. Was wondering if Harry had a copy but would still require commercial printing but at least it can be emailed to them.

                      Chris
