Hello Guys, this is my first post on this Website.
I am building a Model Slipway Tamar Lifeboat and am thinking of using The Action P94 to control the motors (2 x Speed 600 ECO) and rudders.
my question is , has anybody had experience of this equipment and is it reliable?
      I would appreciate any comments.

I have  the lower power version one and it works fine, BUT check with Dave Milbourn at ACTion that the  one you want will be ok with Eco 600 motors. He is a very helpful guy and is not remotely interested in selling dud equipment, so I am sure you will satisfied if he recommends it for your  proposed usage and power input,

Thanks, for the support, Paul. Interestingly we’ve just sold the 1000th P94 to
the 2000th mail order customer on our database, and our next month’s MB advert
is a couple of nice E-Mails from customers, one of which refers directly
to the Tamar, P94 and twin 600 ECO installation.I think that this is also what Terry Small used in his review model.
All I would add is that with Speed 600 ECO motors the power supply shouldn’t exceed 8.4v and you must use the supplied 3-blade plastic props. If you want to use bigger diameter and/or more blades and/or brass props then I would recommend Speed 700BB 12v motors with a 12v supply. SLA batteries are a definite no-no in this model due to weight.

Thanks for the reply regarding the Action Electronics P94.
I would like to get in touch with Dave by email but am having a bit of trouble with my computer trying to get the link.
Could you let me have his email address please.
              Kind Regards,
              Ian

I used a P94 in my Armidale class patrol boat, and thoroughly recommend it, it’s a great piece of kit.

Thanks for all the info.I think that I am sold on the P94 and will be using this piece of equipment when cash is available.
