    I think it depends to some extent what materials you usually build in and the type of craft. Also some tools don't get a lot of use but they are invaluable when you do have a need for them!

    I think PermaGrit are are most folks list though and for my builds the other tools that get a lot of use are my Record scroll saw which is the only big model making tool that I have and my razor saw. Plenty of DIY tools though.

    Ashley, interesting that you have a DeWalt band saw., I bet that it's a cracker? Many of my DIY tools are DeWalt and I would have loved to have got one of their scroll saws but for some reason they don't bring them into the UK! To be honest though, with decent blades the Record does everything that I need.
