Hi. Harry, yes great pictures, I particularly liked the ones of the Moggy Minor and the the Robey TE, also the speed boats , as I am just about to finish a model for my grandson and they have given me some ideas for the deck.

I will also be going boating this morning, but I think it will be in the coffee shop as it is raining here in the East

Only 18 yesterday and 23 today.

We went to the Bellerive Bluff Fort today as it was open and a mate was firing the 25 pounder gun and a number of rifles.

The fort is rarely open and it was the first time we had been inside.

Hi Harry,

All those outboard motors took me back to my dad's first one, a British Anzani 5hp it was never that keen on running, and when going down the Thames at 5 knots on the tide how we wished it had a recoil started ! It didn't and frantic winding of a line round the pulley for us to try and escape the line whipping us behind him with the end 😃

Happy days when it fired, and we got back to Erith Yacht Club

Hi Harry

Thank you for bringing some sunshine into a dark and dismal UK, Llke Ray the photos of outboards bring back memories as my first was a Seagull that I fitted a lawnmower recoil starter to, it was a noisy and smokey old thing but it never let me down.

I bought my first ever brand new outboard in 1976 it was a little blue 2 stroke made by the same company that made Flymows.

That's no problem as it's mid summer and yes you can come to Tasmania !!!

Better than freezing your butt off !!!!

The old Seagull, my father-in-law had one, but on one fishing trip we were trying to out run a rain storm.

The center of the spark plug dropout and the motor die!!!

Row back to shore and a 2 mile walk back for another plug , rum and petrol.

Motored back in the dark, cold ,wet and maybe a bit merry.
