          Hi Richard,

That should be fine in a boat 🙂  I also fly 2.4mz is brilliant for both.

          Regards Ray

In the days of 27mhz, 35mhz and 40mhz certain bands were allocated to different areas of the hobby as a means of segregating bands for the sake of safety of operating mainly aircraft.  Nowadays with 2.4ghz sets there is no interference between sets so no need to segregate anything.  Consequently 2.4ghz sets can be used for cars, trucks, boats, aircraft or anything else you fancy.

I have a Spektrum dx6e set and use the same transmitter to operate boats, aircraft, vehicles and even a steam lorry.

Has anybody tried 2.4gHz with model submarines?

              Len.

From what I remember from posts on other forums etc. it doesn’t work through water so they are continuing to use 40mHz.

                    I have a RadioLink  T8FBbt.

It has servo reverse and trim on the TX but all the other functions are operated with a Bluetooth connection to a smartphone app which saves the cost of a screen on the set and keeps the price down.

I find it works very well and is easier than some of the screen functions you find on TXs.

My stick Tx are HiTec but I bought a RadioLink wheel type for my race boats and off-road vehicle and find it very good for the money.

I have a Radiolink AT9 which I use on a number of models, sometimes with a 9 channel reciever. and sometimes with a 6 channel reciever.  No problems. It’s fairly easy to assign channels to the various switches, rotary or sliders.
