      Hi Martin

You might find out more from the Brooke Marine archive Link this is one held at the National Archive but there are probably more archives out there, very possibly at Lowestoft council offices.

You could even drop lucky and find a set of drawings for the 153 boat.

      Good luck

      Paul

I just discovered mtbhulls.com in Gibraltar. He does a quite mind boggling selection of hulls of essentially RAF type boats, but unfortunately 1/24th scale, which is just not big enough for me. But if 24th floats your boat, he's yer man! Seems to be well thought of and also does scales for static models too. Doesn't do my Mk 1 BPB 37 footer or anything like No. 153.

I think I will have to just dream up something for 153 and keep looking for plans of The BPB Co. Mk 1.

        Thanks for your help.

        Cheers,

        Martin

Try this archive Link there is a 'select a boat' drop down which covers all of the BPB craft.

            Hi

Cannot help with the plans as my mate's away, as he may well have them or photos.

I do have the plans of the Fast Patrol Launch, Pinnacle 60 foot, Vosper Crash Tender and the Vosper 68 foot RTTL.

              Hi Harry,

if your chum has either of the plans I'm after I would be very interested in a copy, especially of No. 153.

I have the Fast Patrol Launch (Veron?). The Vosper 68 footer is a bit big for me. The Pinnacle? Is that really a Pinnace? Crash Tender…would that be the Aerokits one?

              Cheers,

              Martin

                Hi Martin
The Fast Patrol Launch (20&quotand Crash Tender(46&quot(with frames) are Aerokits.

Also the Sea Rover, Sea Queen, Sea Hornet (with frames) Swordsman and PT Boat.

Missing the others for my collection.

Yes a Pinnace by Nexus Plans.

                Plan No.1317 a 1936 Grove & Gutridge Design(with frames).

Whilst I love my Aerokits and have a few, with the RAF boats I am sticking to 1/16th scale as it's manageable and my Vanity yacht and Crash Tender are already that scale.

I must say, the big launch that blows me frock up is the 64 footer with the very minimal wheelhouse, but too big really. I'm happy with anything up to about 50 feet.

Sea Queen has always been a bit big for me, but the Sea Rover appeals. I think my son has one up North, but I remember it being horribly twisted, so a new one would be good some time. A Commander too. I have a PT boat, Swordsman, Sea Urchin and Sea Hornet. All have vintage motors too.

                  Cheers,

                  Martin

                    Hi Martin

I have the Vintage Sea Commander plans(with frames), but, swap the boat for the Hellen H96 fishing boat.

Do you have the plans of the Sea Urchin ?

                    Harry

Harry, I'd love a set of Sea Commander plans.
My Sea Urchin is so old there's not a chance the plans still exist for it. This year it is 59 years old! I restored it 2 years ago and it still has its original switch, motor, shaft, coupling and twisted tin prop. Free running, of course. My Crash Tender is 55 years old and I still haven't quite finished it, although a nice birthday present of a set of SLEC fittings for it will make that happen soon. That has a Taycol Supermarine and original shaft and coupling. The REP r/C was stolen, as was the original Mersey Marine fittings kit.
So, sorry, can't help you there, but Ivan may have a set of Sea Urchin plans from before he flogged it all off to SLEC. I was in the process of doing further kit designs for him when he sold up suddenly. Haven't seen him since.
                      Cheers,
                      Martin
