I am currently building an RC conversion of the Touchwood Bluebird K7 kit. It will be powered by a brushless motor linked to the propellor by a flexi-drive. I have seen on a FastElectrics web site that I need to leave a ‘generous’ gap between the strut and the propellor boss to allow for contraction of the 0.13″ x 10″ flex-drive calble under load. What does ‘generous’ mean? Advice on how big this gap should be would be appreciated.
