I’m stranded on the uncharted desert island of Abu Dhabi in the UAE. The people here are very nice but not much into hobbies. Basic supplies like brass and plastic stock are difficult or impossible to get locally and must be ordered from across the sea. I’ve pretty well settled on the Slipways Tsekoa as my kit for the summer. (Unlike the the rest of the world, Abu Dhabi is a place where one remains indoors during summer and runs boats during the winter.)
How is the Tsekoa in terms of completeness? I’ve read that the white metal propellers are too fragile and should be replaced with brass or plastic. If you’ve built this kit or know somebody who has, what would you advise in addition to the obvious list of radio, running gear and electronics? Are there any hidden “gotchas” in the kit? Running down to my local hobby shop to buy an extra or a replacement is NOT an option here. On the upside, stones for ballast are not a problem!
Thanks in Advance’
