I did see that article but I was looking for something more applicable to the del prado model. I do have several good books by keith Julier including the Kit Builders manual which is very good. However, these books only tell so much and they are generally about more expensive kits, that’s not say the del Prado wasn’t….. £4.25 for 100 weeks is not cheep. I do have another request of all you kit builders out there; Iv’e been trying to get hold of a book entitled Period model Boat Manual by F.D.Conte. If anyone knows where I can pick up a copy I would be most grateful.

Ian,

Try AbeBooks.co.uk there are several of the book you want on there.

Just type in the authors name where requested and up they pop.

Thanks very much for the name of the book shop you gave me (Abe books.com). I contacted them 3pm one day the book was on my door step the next. Fantastic service and half the price. My only regret was that it was not an up to date edition but packed with info nonetheless.

I too purchased the Prado kit of the Victory, and I’m still at it! My problem is planking the hull. The kit instructions suggest planking over the gun ports then cutting them out afterwards, but I have decided to plank up to each gunport. This will probably take forever but time is on the side of the senior citizen. I would be grateful for any tips you could offer. Having seen the photographs of your model, I am more determined to finish it. Many Thanks. TB

I have the set of Del Prados Build the Victory, I have startred building it but during a recent house move have misplaced issues 70 and 71, can anyone help I need to know what parts were included in those issues and some drawings would be much appreiated or does anyone know where I may purchase a replacement, I have already tried Del Prado who say they have no stock

The bit I need is a copy of STRUCTURE CARD 67 and 68

hi,can anyone please help,ive been given del prado build the victory issues 1-100.issue 1 has no book and issue 38 is open.could anyone tell me what parts come with these two issues,i do have parts for both issues and have been told its complete, before i get rid off this set i would like to no (for my own peace of mind) that it is complete.many thanks paul
