GRP Hull Cracked

I have a GRP Hull which has been damaged. The crack is about 4 inches long and well above the water line. Can anybody give advice as the best method for mending the Hull.

Use GRP tape on the inside and fill the crack on the out side with 2 pack epoxy then rub down and paint.
