        Hi Scott

It looks very much like an RAF seaplane tender or a target range safety launch which was a Deans Marine kit.

          Hi Scott

I have just posted a photo of a safety boat / seaplane tender in my gallery under Pauls bits, but it might take 24 hours to go live.

I hope this helps with your rebuild.

Hi paul thanks alot i think that will really help. Another question, what type of primer and paint do you use for a boat? can i just use a normal exterior wood paint or does it have to be a special one. thanks again.

                Hi Scott

I use household paint on some of my boats which I brush on but I rub down between each coat with 600g wet & dry paper.

But dont buy cheap paint or brushes always buy the best materials that you can afford.

                  Hello Scott

Paul is being his usual modest self.

He has written a great piece on restoring a sea queen in which he covers all the problems that you are about to encounter including the problems of using house paint.

Have a look at his threads as it is listed under restoring a sea queen, he does waffle a bit but the advice is first class.

                  Sam

Is it a plywood hull  , if so it may be a veron kit if it has plywood stringers and one bulkhead.
