Here is a strange thing. I found this model shipbuilding journal on Amazon for $7.95. The picture on the front is my photograph of a model of the four-masted full-rigged ship County of Roxburgh, built by myself. I am NOT complaining about my photograph being on the cover, because I made it available to the Public Domain some time ago, But the book is blank – no text – it appears that it is just a notebook!

As the description says it’s a blank journal , college ruled, i recon its got blank pages. Nice picture though.

Yes, it clearly shows the pages are blank ruled, but I just wondered what the point is. I found it when I was searching for model ship publications, but it seems there are none left these days, confirming my suspicions that there is just about zero interest in ship models these days, so it is just as well that I have given up on building after 70 plus years, mainly due to heath issues caused by age. This is the County of Roxburgh model (Now in Panama). I am concentrating on small ship plan drawing these days, but even in that field, interest is trailing off. but that doesn’t matter, as they take up very little space, and only cost the price of the drawing pens and paper – they are mainly for my own pleasure and to give me something to do.
