A 385 my guess.more than enough for pottering about. Run it on 6 or 7.2V. Nice little motor.

No doubt someone will post with a difinitive answer soon as there have been thousands built.

Mine has a 385 on 6 volts. More than enough speed. I usualy run no more than 3/4 speed, the reserve is handy when I mess up my navigation.

              I used a 385 on 7.2 volts with a 40mm 3 blade plastic prop. Always runs well.

On Snowberry (converted) what length of propshaft has been used – have just finished the Italeri MTB and Snowberry is to be my next project. All the conversion articles I've read don't give shaft length. Many thanks

A late member of the ModelBoatMayhem website successfully used the following:

                  Deans Marine Kyte motor
6" prop shaft with oil filler
                  3 bladed 35mm brass prop
                  Marine 5 speed controller
                  7.2v nicad battery pack.
                  Universal prop shaft coupling
Existing kit rudder bonded to smaller rudder with resin
                  Futaba 2 channel radio.

Thanks Colin, that's extremely helpful – will make a start on getting the gear together with some of the GLS aftermarket extras.

Again many thanks for such a prompt reply

Thanks Colin – had skimmed it awhile back but at the time wasn't thinking about doing a Flower let alone converting one – will now re-read thoroughly

                        Cheers again
