Good news chaps and a nice tip thrown in!

The nice tip, first……..I need four lengths of handrails for the cabin roofs, which are essential, but tricky to make easily…….Till now, that is

Being a bit lazy in my old age, they had to be simple and cost nowt!

Based on soft wire split pins,…..wood or brass, hand rails…….stem extensions……chopped off plastic or brass tube and the job is done!

And the good news?………Going for a trial run this week sometime, at Etherow Lake with my pal, Duckie

Good luck Bob with the first voyage, although there is no reason to expect anything but a first class trip.

Like the rails, good idea. I have seen split pins mentioned before in older magazines as a source of railing related items.

Probably, but who cares! Looks ok to me and adds to the personal touches that you are making to the boat.

I like Harry`s idea of using those cheap battery operated LED Christmas type lights for lighting the inside of a boat. Cheap and easy, if you were considering lighting the cabin that is.

Just realised that there is a mast yet to be constructed!

From the full size photos, the height is about the same distance from the waterline to the cabin roof…….About 9"

It also has a main sail, normally furled, which will be a nice talking point

The Jolly Boat will look better white?

All in all, Lady Jane is looking a Bobby Dazzler!

Re, the lights you will have Maplins near you so £1 will buy the lights and the proper diodes .any colour you may want is there regards Michael

I got the diode wrong it should read RESTISTORs .Elaine is very well and caring for me for a change .

I,m hoping to build hovercraft but as now cannot decide which steering system to use .Still have not had the Stent removed so will spend time recearching the systems available For now have a happy holidayMichael
