      Hi chaps

Pleased to report that Lady Jane has successfully run on all four motors with no problems whatsoever!

When running, the whole drive system has the aura of latent power………As originally intended

      Bob

Note……No Rc wires have been cut

          Hello Paul

No photos at the moment, as there is no change in appearance from the last float test

Today we had a good demo, for brother Geoff and his wife, running all four motors and it was awsome!

The speed seems very fast, probably because of the smallness of the pond and it dashed into the pool wall with no sign of amp overload etc

There could be a Timimg belt tooth mis match at the moment, highlighted by Geoff, but will be sorted shortly

The visitors were very impressed with the initial appearance and size of the model and the multi motor spectacle

I am truly proud of our team effort

          Bob

            Hello Captain Bob

It sounds like you had a wonderful time this afternoon.

I am really looking forward to seeing the boat on Etherow as I have high hopes for the hull and its 'smoothness' as it glides through the water.

Bob. Good stuff. after 151 post pages!! Glad to hear the motors and so on work ok.

What is the final current draw for all 4 motors??

The BEC thing..I suppose that as it is all is ok, then leave well alone..however if you do get problems you will have to start cutting wires.

                Thank you, Ashley

The secret of my success is that there is no overall draw on the motors……That's why I couldn't understand Paul's request for this reading

The Max amps is what the tests showed last week………17 amps when pushing against the pool wall

                As simple as that!

Bob, looks excellent. Has the look of hidden amounts of power! Almost menace.💪

I think though you missed a trick with your pool, you could have used an inflatable boat as your pool, then you could empty it and use it as a rescue boat ( if needed). 😜😄🚣

It sounds really awesome inside the garage!

The pool has really been a great help in sorting the motor drives out, we would really have struggled on the big lake

Actually, Paul can't get down at the moment, he has a transport problem

                                              Video notes

The knocking noise was caused by the propellors, driving forwards and backwards along the prop tube!

It's not a problem, just need to fit two spacers

One of the rudders was a bit slack on the rudder post……We were trying to perform a tank spin, but the water thrust kept pushing the rudder blade away

The pool is very handy for tinkering close to the garage facility for instant adjustment

                                                      Hello Bob,

I did indeed see you and your Great Eastern doi9ng cable laying when the show was first broadcast — Coast is a programme that my wife and I enjoy in general, and thus usually watch, so I was of course absolutely delighted when that particular episode included a nice, long item built around a really lovely model.

We also both appreciate Brunel's work, and took great pleasure in visting both the SS Great Britain and the Clifton suspension bridge when we were in Bristol a few years ago, so the fact that your Coast item was about a Brunel ship added yet more to our delight

And while I never knew Fred Dibnah, in the sense of coming face to face with him or making his aquaintance, I certainly know of him, and have always thoroughly enjoyed his work for TV, ever since I first saw him in what I think must have been a re-run of The Fred Dibnah Story sometime in the late 1990s …
