        Hi Bob,

        I didn't know there was an earlier Victory ! But my book is about the famous one preserved, are you tempted to build one ?? Now that's a project 😀

          Sorry to say, that the years are finally taking their toll now and haven't got the " Hearts of Oak" energy these days

            I have a book on the construction of Victory and the drawings show that while there was some sheer to the hull it was in fact very minimal and the various decks were close to parallel with the keel. However the external planking does have more of a curve to it and cuts across the gunports which creates the illusion of sheer.
