building Ron Rees” Fairey Huntsman”

Hello folks

Has anyone had a go at building Ron's version using styrofoam? I have never used this material but I am having a go at it, I had old bit of pink foam lying around in the shed and said why not!! so far I have cut the top view (2nd attempt) of the hull to shape, but am unsure how to get the correct shape at the bow it looks quite complicated to me!!

any tips on how to approach this would be welcome as my first attempt was a diasaster!! and I am fast running out of foam.

I am looking to complete my GRP-hulled Huntsman 31 "707", and am looking for tips to deck the hull. I will not be planking the hull, but leaving it smooth, apart from the non-slip areas on the bow. I have decided to drop the MFA Torpedo powerpack, and decided to go for twin-brushless Hydra 50's, and Lipo packs linked to MTroniks speed controllers, driving 45mm 3-blade racing props. Also any advice on twin-rudder control would be handy.Thanks!!

The deck HAS to be veneered. No self-respecting owner of an H31 would entertain anything else. Re twin rudders – there's an idea in my "Dave's Stuff" album (see also Richard Dunn's thread on Wahine) with the servo mounted between the tiller arms.
Good decision to go brushless.
