        Hi Eddie

You have made a lovely job of the tug for sure 😀

I've had some days in the sun to reflect on my modelling and come back with some sketches of future projects to build, glad to be back in the workshop !!

        Roger,

Maybe you would find it more rewarding to finish off the tug hull, before you started the superstructure? But as I probably have 8 projects on the go, variety is the spice of life 😁

        Regards Ray

Hi. Ray, Welcome home, glad you had a nice time. Thanks for your comment re the tug, I really enjoyed the build and now sailing it.

Do you ever stop thinking boats?

          Regards.

            Hi Eddie

Yes I sketched a 16mm narrow gauge engine for a line in the garden I'm planning which seems to have the approval of the management, and a new aeroplane 😁I

The Dunelm sails look good !!

              Hi Eddie,

Yes you have done a great job on the tug, looks really great.

              Ray,

Welcome back from your sun seeking, haven't had much luck with it here. The reason I moved on with the superstructure was because I needed to mull over what I was going to do with the hull and my worst trait is a knee jerk reaction which would end up starting over so I've cut back some of the bulwark support and will rebuild that and then bring the hull closer to finished shape then another layer of glass and resin and complete.

I was rushing because I wanted to finish for our July big steam up when all and sundry bring their engines, boats, hot rods et al to Hereford for 3 days. But instaed I will have my Soling for windy days and my Flying Eagle for all weathers.

              Regards

              Roger

I'm sure your barge will recover 😀 that expanding foam is evil stuff ! And has blown deck off many good models !!

He'll be fine, receiving counselling at the moment wink. The trigger stuck on so all I could do was keep the foam where it was, I hadn't fixed the deck on yet so I'll slice off the excess tomorrow once it's hardened.

HMS Cossack was one of the destroyers I built as a young impressionable teenager, did a good job of it as well. smiley my problem is if I build a warship it has to be to 1/96 th scale, this would give me the latitude for the kind of electronics I would want to equip it with. That would probably mean going to cruiser class with it's wide beam or something similar, got to be WW2 though.

But still Vic's might be good practise…. and fun laugh, who's up for it?

Why don't you start a Mass Build interest thread. Big sucking of teeth as I am not into warbirds or warships, not because of any pacifist or altruistic reason. It's just that I prefer the variety of the civil world avoiding they grey and the camouflage.

I could however be tempted to go with flow so to speak.
