Hi.Ray, thanks for your encouragement, the barges are next on the list of jobs to be done, basically painting and finishing details, they will be carrying the finished cut timber away from the mill.

Master Elliott out with its log boom for the first time, it coped well with the rough conditions, just had to use full throttle to keep control.

Hi. Ray, the risk assessment suggested that they shouldn't ride on the logs due to the strong winds.

I am not staying for the Headcorn show, my freinds are off to the New Forest that weekend.

Even a barge was new once! Probably only looked it for a few days though!

Barge towed well,only needed half throttle, so should handle two barges no problem. The flooding water tank works well taking the barge down to the water line.

Another club member launched his new barge today, with his pusher tug,the tug has RC hook up for the barge a bow thruster on the barge, and a working bow door for loading vehicles, the barge is 1.1metres long.

The second barge has just been delivered.

As soon as the crew have finished their inspection and the fisrt one is unloaded they will be off to collect another load of timber, maybe some oak beams for a restoration project up river.

Now the barges are finished I only have Cossack on the building board, so do I start my next project, the IOM yacht, or do I stick with just one at a time?.

Hi Eddie,

I think the sky's the limit really, 3 boats at once is the optimum for me, with maintenance on the rest of the fleet ongoing !

Currently, Cossack, The Comanche Cat, and a 15" version of Vic Smeed's Silver Mist + a branch line station 00 Layout.

Once that lot is operational still want to build HMS Belfast, maybe a Christmas start

Looking out for 6' 6" length of MDF for the building board !!

Hi. Ray, I new you wouldn't let me down, not as many as you on the go at one time,i think two will be enough for me.

I've got a couple of days before Bluewater, so cut out the shadows from the plans and fix to some liteply, ready to cut out.

Cossack is coming along, should have battery and Esc by Friday, motors already wired up and checked using the battery and esc from the tug, the prop tubes are fitted and ready for the motors and electrics.
