Hello Simon and welcome to the forum
You are probably familiar with the resin sold in car shops etc to use with fibreglass matt, well that's Polyester resin. A liquid to which you add hardener. EPOXY resin is the same, other than its not polyester, but epoxy! Two part refers to the addition of a separate hardening agent.
I use "easy composites" for my glass supplies, but there's others…just do a search on ebay.
I am not sure if the kit really NEEDS a resin interior, or if its just a belt`n`braces thing. The resin will impart some extra strength and of course seal the wood, but there is nowt wrong with simply using varnish, or an Acrylic resin like Eze-Kote, which has the advantage of speed, easy clean up and low odour.
No doubt an expert will advise, because surely EVERYONE has built one of these??? (not me!)
