discarded components (large).jpg27 slow motion drive (large).jpgI have now refurbished the tuning dial, and replaced the slow motion drive assembly. The third image is all the discarded components. I have seldom seen a radio in such a poor state, most of the works were completely rotten.

Can`t sort out your instructions Bob, but the video is excellent!

            Well done

            Can`t spot the speaker?

Thanks. The loudspeaker is out of the picture, not enough room to have it in with the radio. The video is a bit fuzzy because I couldn't get it to load on high resolution, so I had to reduce it to standard, but it serves the purpose of demonstrating that it actually works. Generally, I only purchase old radios if they are in the final stages of decay, as I get more satisfaction from rebuilding them to almost "as new!"

Ah Bob. You were holding out on us with the rest of it.

Lovely job on the chassis and box.

Thanks, I didn't do much to the cabinet – just rubbed it down with wet & dry and sprayed it with clear laquer.
