These two pages on the Brittany Ferry Enthusiasts site show the removal of a faulty Voith Schneider propulsion unit from one of the Red Funnel Isle of Wight ferries. Quite interesting I thought.

Sorry about that. Looks like you have to be a member to see the photos which are of a VS unit being extracted from an Isle of Wight ferry for repairs.

 

It’s actually quite a useful site if you want very cheap overnighter trips to France and live reasonably close to a ferry port.

 

Anyway, we all have our little vices…..
