This is such a simple shape that I recon you could build this with NO detail at all, simply detail up using paint (or printed vinyl stickers…easily obtained from a graphics centre) alone. At any distance you would not notice.

It is a ploy I have been thinking of for a while.

Paul. That looks so much better! In fact it looks great.

It just cries out for a bit of hardboard, in fact four bits of hardboard..one on the bottom, one on the top, and two on the sides. It is a warm afternoons build, that one. In fact, if needed a couple of styrofoam blocks could b mad whilst waiting for the PVA to set for the Darth Vader bits.

Splash some white paint on and get creative with the printer/felt pen, masking tape and black/red paint.
