Uploading to albums

Thank you once again. I will make another attempt to upload some photos and let you know how I go.

 

It seems strange that, in my case,  the problem has only recently manifested itself.

I have just tried again without success. The emulation album you uploaded displays well, so it would appear the problem is between thee and me (to coin a phrase), although the message I receive when attempting to upload says there is a problem with the web site.

I did the speed test as suggested by tech support, and obtained the following results :-

Download speed 1.29 Mbps, upload speed 0.21 Mbps. By world standards this is slow, but I only have access to ADSL 1, not ADSL 2. However, the fact remains that the problem has only recently surfaced because, as you can see, I have successfully uploaded photos in the past.

My download speed is a lot faster than yours Peter at 3.93 but my upload this afternoon is only 0.19 which is less than yourself.

 

I have checked the posts on the other Forums on this site whch share the same uploading mechanism and there are no recent reports of problems.

 

 I don’t know what else to suggest really.

A somewhat bizarre twist to the tale. I successfully uploaded some pictures to 2 of my albums, but when I attempted an upload to my “Miscellaneous” album, the same message appeared. I then tried an upload to another album, and it was successful. It seems, for whatever reason, the problem lies with only one of my albums, as it was this album that has caused all the previous trouble. As I said, bizarre.

Very interesting Peter! I will ask Tech Support to have a look at that album to see if there is something wrong with it.

 

Such a little thing, so much time spent on it! Computers!!!

Peter, I think I may have inadvertently deleted your Miscellaneous pictures Album but it only had one photo in it – is that right?

Yes, that’s correct Colin. I was going to delete it anyway, as it may have been the source of the trouble – either it, or the photo I was trying to upload. At least I know I CAN upload to albums.

Only 4 of the 8 pics in my Scratchbuilt Helicopter Album appear the other4 are white squares with the little red x, any idea what causes this ?.

Your helicopter album was uploaded at the end of February which was when the site was revamped and transferred from Magicalia to MyHobbyStore.  I’m told that a number of photos were lost at that time due to an exteneded transfer period and it was not possible to recover them. I think your best bet would be to delete the “missing” photos and upload them again. Hopefully that will work.

Hi chaps seem to have uploading issues also this end?

I modify the album but the changes do not stay permanent? Did have extreme uploading problems but did not get actual warnings things just did not happen?

Something must have changed

Kevin,

 

Did you click the “Save Changes” button after you had modified the album? It’s at the foot of the photos. Apparently when you make the changes they are held in a temporary area and are only made “live” if you confirm by “Save Changes”.
