Hello, can anyone help me as I am unable to access the Model Boats magazine because I keep getting this message

`An Error Has Occurred. I'm sorry but we can't process your request at this time (bad referrer)`

Can you please advise as to what I should do.

      Thanks,

      Kevin Jones

Adendum I have been able to access the latest magazine only through pocketmags.com and I am viewing on a laptop. Clicking on My Library again only allows me to see the latest magazine.

Thank you very much, updating Adobe Flash has resolved the problem.

                  Hello,

Can anyone help me also as I am unable to access the online Model Boats magazine because I too keep getting this message:-

`An Error Has Occurred. I'm sorry but we can't process your request at this time (bad referrer)`

I have no problem accessing the my magazines on Pocket Mags, but that only goes back to the time I started my subscription.

I have re installed the latest Adobe Flash and allowed it to run in the site permissions, but with the same result.

I have tried with with Chrome and Edge as the web browsers with no difference.

Is it working for other forum members and if so what browser are you using?

Can anyone please advise me as to what I can do.

                  Thanks in anticipation,

                  Adrian

There is more detailed information on the Model Engineer website which shares the same software as this one.

                        Thanks for the links Colin

The following post sorted it out or me

                        "Hi,

I believe this is due to most browsers recently adopting more privacy features by default. When opening the magazine the browser is being redirected from model-engineer.co.uk to mydigitalmagazine.co.uk. Browsers will now not let certain kind of redirects happen unless the websites are properly configured to trust each other.

The work around is to reduce the browser's security permissions to allow these redirects to occur:

On Google chrome – type the following in the address bar:

                        chrome://flags/#reduced-referrer-granularity

change the highlighted setting from "Default" to "Disabled"

Press the relaunch button in the bottom right hand corner.

After this you should be able to open the magazine.

Of course this is also reducing your security settings for all websites – so you can live with that risk (it was the default until recently anyway) or set the setting back to Default once you have finished with the magazine.

                        Regards

                        Dom"

                        Thanks again.

                        Adrian

Edit:  It has only worked for one of my laptops however and the other maintains the same issue.

Silly question – have the settings been tweaked on both? Just asking as the proud owner of a similar T shirt. I also manage to create some confusion for myself when using the "wrong" browser.

Yes, same settings on both. One is an older laptop though which windows has decided needs another update so will have to wait till later to try again.

Now that I have access on one of my devices I am happy (for the time being at least).

Thanks to all who have helped out.

You have already asked this on the other thread.

                                To repeat:

The print publication date is October 30 as stated on the website front page. Subscription copies should arrive shortly.

                                All as per normal.
