Great ideas do get rip off .

The lander we generally, but I had used use only has two 540 brush motors, but I have used the Old Speed boat.

This worked OK after I reprogrammed the ESC and transmitter throttle for a soft start.

Before I ended up on the recovery unit, but it all drifted to the other side of the canal.

I still a jab about that from time to time !!!!

Only two? Sundays until December and time to debut the “Christmas” boat tops or mods for seasonal boating. Bushy may be different to other boating waters in that we usually have a big public audience, as the pond is right next to the car park so we get a lot of passing footfall.

Having the ferry (ex-landing craft) makes this easy, as the entire tank deck is removable making substitution easy for a custom decorated deck. Battery powered string lights get wrapped around the rear deck, and there it is.

Lights are easy to add of course, but sounds will be included this year from my sound unit, Xmas carols or Slade/whatever.

Perhaps I will do a “show us yours” Christmas decoration thread in December. Ashley

Dispite it being very chilly out the Bushey Park car park was full with cars queueing.

Drove round twice and gave up.

Will try harder next week.

There was an poxy poxy poxy “fun run” on at h/ct, thus the park car park was used as a general car park. Richard and Peter were stopped in the middle of the car park when I got there (0910) but there was no room..cars still coming in.

Went home. Likely we passed you coming in Trev!

Got lucky with a dog walker going home so nicked his space.

Lasted till 11.15 by then most of my fingers had dropped off. Nice breeze, Gull went well but a bit choppy for Woody and the whizzer.

Seems to me the park rangers haven’t got a clue what’s going on or it would have been common sense to open the overflow car park? They obviously don’t want people to visit the park as it’s getting harder to get there and park each year!

That's what puts me off for Sundays. It's a 50 minute drive and touch and go as to whether you can get a space even if you arrive early. Tuesdays are not always good for me.

Parking is a bit luck of the draw, it all depends if there’s an event happening that day. Last Sunday there were spaces all morning.

We are also going to loose a couple of dozen spaces for the Christmas tree sellers from today too.

Tomorrow looks to be a bit iffy. Its blowing up, and the weather outlook is 0 degrees early on…rising to 3 degrees later!!!!!

Phone call from mum at 0600 in great pain, hernia. Cycled round.called 999, “clinician” called 90 mins later. An hour later an ambulance came round to cart her off.

Lovely weather as it happens sunny if cold. Never mind.

Slow reaction time due to non urgent call….ie…not life threatening….just massive pain….

Out now, no treatment. Spoke to surgeon. Hernias flare up…go in and out. Painkillers, unless pain persists and/or we get swelling or purpleness.

I am not going to get old.

Apparently the car park was clearish sunday but it was jolly cold (not the actual words used).

I am afraid I am going to bore you all silly again in January and poss Feb with more outlandish creations….not sure which order…but they are both Blue!!! One has some mates, the other is too fast to have mates.

Need to make another box, probably cardboard this time, for teh new canal boats.

It’s a bit blustery. I think I may just take the noisy ferry today, as it now has lights and noise and can handle any sort of chop.
