The destroyer motor issue is in part down to the slippery plastic mounts, as there is only so much you can tighten the screws before breaking the plastic. I have moved the brass ends on the shafts to give a good clearance and moved the motors forward a bit.
At the pond there were more than a few comments on the “little men” on the ship, and it just reinforces my decision to put the men on (despite being slightly too big), as it does enhance the model and also gives more of a sense of proportion.
New airboat coming on. Construction is a bit haphazard at the moment, as the front half resembles a boat, the back half a , well, almost a slipper but with a tall narrow cabin.
At the moment I have a recognisable deck (cut out centre) with a sloping rear bulkhead (going down, not up) and a long flat section aft, all glued on edge only!
Its one of those things, once the sides and bottoms (or tops, for the rear end) are in place the thing will be solid, but before that a bit..loose!
