Summary of last boating before Christmas.
Myself: BHA German biplane. Went well, no drama. Xmas ferry: Also went well and looke3d festive.
Peter: Fishing boat with numerous xmas attachments, lights, figures etc. RAF Rescue launch.
Noel (minus ankle biters). Re engined Ecranoplan. Spiffing performance on a tiny prop with new 2600Kv motor. Destroyer: Now with half decent superstructure, proper gun turrets and numerous accessories. Resembles a Cossack!
Trevor. Tug.
Richard. Pirate ship and Templar ship. Templar vessel showing signs of actually sailing, for the first time, due to a rudder extension. We thought an even larger rudder would do the trick, and then he could sort out the rear mast/sail.
Red hats de rigour, and festive stollen.
Impressed with Ecranoplan. mine has 3700Kv motor with similar sized but lower pitch prop (as this is all it will take given the high Kv) and it will be interesting to see the difference in speed, although the two are of slightly differing dimensions and weight. Mine is all balsa/ply and actually lighter then the ex-foam flyer, by a small amount.
