Clever stuff. What I find interesting is the fact that, even at that depth in almost undisturbed water, the wreck is still slowly decomposing and returning to its elements. Give it a couple of hundred years and it will be gone.
And yet, in the oxygen free environment of the depths of the Black Sea, there are dozens of well preserved ancient wooden ships including this one which is estimated to be 2,500 years old.
