      Hi there,
I too here in New Zealand subscribed online, had an email confirmation that my first copy would arrive on or about the 9th April.
now the 29th of April, and have sent a few emails asking what is happening.

      .
if i have to rely on newspaper agent, the mag arrives about 6 weeks to late.

if this continues I would like my subscription refunded.

      Regards, Anton

Did you email [email protected] as queries on subscriptions are now being dealt with in house by MyHobbyStore rather than through the subscriptions company?

Also, if your copy was to be delivered by airmail you will be no doubt be aware of the recent chaos with the shut down of air travel in this part of the world for nearly a week which has had severe knock on effects with air freight.

            Hi Anton
As you well know, you contacted me on the 23rd and 28th of April. Yesterday, the 28th, I reminded the relevant person again in customer services and you asked for their direct email address which I supplied to you.
The fact that you have not received a magazine, does not always mean that it is has not been sent.
I have edited your posting to remove a section with a word that I consider to be inappropriate on this  free public forum.
If you have a subscriber number  which presumably you have because you have quoted it in your correspondence with me, then you can access all publlshed editions of MB via the digital copies on this website and of course all offers from MyHobbyStore are available to you online.
Therefore, you have not been disadvantaged, other than the issue of MB that you expected has not arrived in New Zealand yet. Did they actually say in your email that you would receive a copy of MB on the 9th April? Or did they say it was on sale on the 9th April which is  a very different thing as it  has to get to New Zealand from the UK.
I am sure that  the problem will soon be resolved.
            Regards
            Paul Freshney.

I am told you were emailed by the lady from customer services yesterday – have you checked your spam folder if it is not in your usual ‘in box’ ?
              Regards
              Paul Freshney.

i did email customer services a few times, and initially recieved no reply.
Have finally recieved an email from Lorna, assuring me that she will try and sort this out.

My email recieved from MB, stated clearly that i would recieve my first copy of MB on or about the 9th April.
even taking into account the air travel disruption, that still doesn`t allow for having recieved nothing 3 weeks after due date.

i`m still a bit dissapointed that no one replied  from customer services, and that i had to start sending emails at random to get a response, to which I recieved an email from Paul
hopefully this will get fully resolved sortly.

                regards, Anton

                  Anton,

I think you may have underestimated the degree of disruption caused by the air travel shutdown. British citizens are still awating repatriation and some have been told that there will not be flights until next week. In the circumstances priority will go to passenger rather than freight flights. Predictions are that air freight will not return to normal until mid May. If your issue was caught up in this then that would certainly explain the delivery delay. It is quite possible since over the last couple of months there have been some delays in distribution anyway.

Sometimes, with the best will in the world, things don’t always go to plan.

I believe you received Lorna’s email yesterday.

                    Hi  Colin,

If thats the case, I apologise, and look forward to recieving my MB with baited breath.

                    Kind Regards,

                      Hi Anton
No need to apologise – you quite correctly want your magazine and it  is in the interests of everyone that you should receive it, bearing in mind that you have paid in advance for it.
You have Lorna’s direct email address and she is keen that these sort of problems be kept to a minimum  as  they can reflect badly on any publisher.
Give it a week or so – if nothing has happened by then, please email Lorna direct again and cc me.
On a personal note, a large boat kit parcel from Germany was sent on Tuesday afternoon by standard carrier and arrived here at my house 10am on Thursday morning (42 hours). A small package from Leicestershire (100 miles)  took 8 days via the Post Office!
                      Kind regards
                      Paul Freshney

                          Hi Alan,

I have checked your profile and your subscription number does appear to be in the correct format. I'm afraid I can't fix this myself. You will need to contact Customer Services either by emailing them at [email protected] or by telephoning them during normal weekday office hours on: 0844 412 2262

There have been occasional problems in the past with the subscription number being disconnected from the digital editions but I have not heard of any recent difficulties.

                          Colin
