I received a model as a christmas present.  In the box is something called Pattex Stabilit express. I don`t know what this stuff is as the instruction for the model do not mention what do with it.  Can anybody tell me where I need to use this stuff.

        Hi Brian.

It’s a 2 part epoxy adhesive, resin and powder, quick setting, will glue most things together, used it building a Robbe U47 and a Kyosho Fairwind with no problems. Hope this helps.

                        Cheers

           Hi Brian

Below is an idea of which adhesive to use where, copied from the kit I bought last!

Fibreglass to plastic: two-part epoxy (10 min. or 1 hour). Plastic to plastic: ordinary plastic solvent (Liquid Poly). Whitemetal to whitemetal: two-part epoxy (5min.) or thick superglue. Whitemetal to plastic: two-part epoxy or thick superglue. Wood to plastic: two-part epoxy, thick superglue or contact adhesive. Brass to plastic: R/C Modellers craft glue or thick superglue. Rubber Fender: contact adhesive (UHU, Bostik). Window glazing: R/C Modellers craft glue.

          Hope this helps!

            Hi Peter,

Here’s a few more adhesives for your list ….

            Ken

Cut & pasted this from my files, don’t know if it will reproduce on the forum – fingers crossed

Sorry – didn’t work.  All spacing was lost and became one continuous line.
