      Hi Bob,

She’s looking really good now she’s planked, the photo of her standing in the doorway now gives a good indication of the size.

      Q. How did you get the spine out?, as both bow and stern seem to have been planked, and also the formers – did you not glue the planking to these.

Keep up the great work, its nice to watch the build in progress

      Cheers – Ken

        Hello Ken…….Thanks

I`m pleased you`re following the build………………I sawed through the spine at each former, then simply tapped the pieces with a little hammer and the PVA just broke away. Same with the formers.

I`m now sorting out the prop shaft and rudder area……………..and making a Brunel propeller

          Hi Bob

Looking forward to seeing the prop this will be a difficult thing to build given that it is a left hand turn so it will be a real one off.

          Paul

Am I right in thinking that thats "Jeanie Deans" in the background?

That is Jeanie Deans in the background………Built from the Alex Thomson plan and is an excellent sailer!

Am I to believe the question has come from Alex himself?………Can`t understand why the message also mentions Manxman?

There are lots of Jeanie Deans pictures in my other gallery…….if you`re interested

                Sorry Bob,

I thought it was Manxman’s contribution – I’m new to this forum business!

It could have been my plans from "Marine modeller" but their draughtsman mucked them about, and several things are not right, viz the funnels, they were never that thin after her post war re-build.

I’ll look up your gallery later.   Alex .T.
