Firstly let me say that in my humble opinion Model Boats is the best magazine of its type that I have seen. I even let my subscription with the "other magazine" lapse last year and haven’t missed it.

So please take the following suggestion as being given in the most positive way.

Can we not have a standard specification box on the first or last page of a kit review or substantial write up of a model? This would show scale, length, beam, height, weight, motor(s) or engine, propulsion battery, radio manufacturer and no. of channels used, and hull material. When a particular model article piques my interest, these are the basic detais I need to know before I can decide if it is too large, too small etc. etc. to warrant contemplating construction.

Keep up the good work, may 2008 be a good one.

sounds like a good idea over to me, but as always in paper magazines, space is at a premium.  Over to Paul…..

Not to inflate Vinnies ego any more but I agree that this site is really coming on in leaps and bounds. I just wish more of the members would take the time to put fingers to keyboard and add their comments / views.

I also wholeheartedly agree with your point regarding specification although to be fair to Paul at Model Boats he does include this information in most of the articles.

Yes, I agree that the information is in most of the articles if one hunts for it.

The suggestion that I was trying to make was to use a standard "technical details" box for easy checking and comparison. Perhaps I am atypical, but I like to see at a glance how many servos, what batteries, dimensions, what radio, what motors or engine and so on. Over a relatively short period of time I would be able to get an idea of what other modellers were using with a given size or style of model. 

Just my suggestion, though. Thank you for your replies.

I see what you mean, something like a data box in a corner of any article containing standard specification information.
