SMIT TAMAR

When at Holyhead, Angelsey, I saw the Smit Tamar and was struck by it’s good lines so much I thought I would model it.

I have e.mailed Smit to see if they could supply a line drawing but got no reply.

Can anyone help, maybe with a contact into Smit’s at Holyhead.

Anyone who can help in any way it would be much appreciated.

hello my name is Kjell-tore Halden from Norway I have first hand infomation about the "Smit Tamar" the vessel was buildt as an ambulanceboat at Eikefjord marine, the constructors of the vessel is a shipengineer by the name Ola lilleoe Olsen. the boat first name was "Svein Magne" named after the owner Mr Svein Magne Hansen. the boats homeport was Kabelvåg in Lofoten, and my father was the first captain on the ship, he was also the one that did draw the specification of the boat. and when the "Svein magne" was delivered from the builders the boat was one of the strongest,fastest ambulanceboat ever buildt in Norway with a top speed just under 40 knots
