Hi Everybody,
Have just managed to put a YouTube video in mi posting! I suspect it's old hat for most of you but it took me a lot of time and effort to work it out. For my own future reference and help for any other computerphobics here's how its done.
Go into U tube and find your video.
Find the share button and click on it.
Find the Embed button and click on that.
Scroll down to size boxes and click on customised.
Type 450 into the width box.
Press return.
Highlight the gobbleygook text that appears in the description box.
Now you have to copy it and this is the bit that threw me because there are no buttons in sight. Use the keyboard and press Control + C. Nothing will appear on the screen so you just have to have faith.
Shut down YouTube and open Model boats.
Start your posting.
At the point where you want to enter your video click on the YouTube logo.
Press Control + V.
This pastes the link into your post. All you will see is a blue square with "Iframe" written in the middle of it.
Go to the bottom of the frame and press return.
You are now back to normal typing mode.
Finish your post and click Add Posting.
When it appears on the forum the video is there as if by magic!
