The Yorkshireman took to the water yesterday evening and did me proud. Came out spot on the waterline and first touch of the throttle was off like a good 'un. The AE stuff worked perfectly, the mixers gave fantastic rudder response and combined with bow thruster gave a very realistic turning circle with minimum heeling over. The water cannons gave a good show to the spectators round the pond (about 12 foot spray) and I even heard the word "Awesome" smiley

All in all I'm really chuffed with the whole kit. I'm rubbish with a camera so the pics are not that great but here goes.

No, m'duck. I had a hand in designing the kit and producing the electronics, but you put them all together – and very nicely too.

Sadly, Illness means I am no longer able to get the Yorkshireman to a suitable boating lake so I have made the decision to sell her. I seems such a shame to see the boat sat in the spare room when it could be giving pleasure where it should be – on the water so here goes:

I didn't post too much during the build but there are some early shots of the build plus quite a few photos in my album and I have included the very latest pictures in this post plus the following technical info:

                      Description & Details

                      Kit: Slipway Models
                      Scale: 1:48 Scale
                      Twin Screw

                      Sizes
                      Length 34.5 Inches (875 mm)
                      Width: 9.5 Inches (240 mm)
                      Height: 22 Inches (560 mm
                      Weight. Approx. 10 kg

                      Included
2.4 GHz r5 channel radio receiver and transmitter (Spektrum DX5e)
12v 7amp Gel Cell Battery for motors and electronics
7.2 volt high power nicad for fire monitors + charger
Cradle To Rest The Boat On
2 Slings For Lowering Into The Water
                      Ready for immediate sailing

                      Technical Details

The boat has been built with the latest electronics set-up to provide accurate and reliable control of steering and auxiliary functions as follows:

Action Electronics P92 Power Distribution Board with BEC

Action Electronics P95 Indicator Fuse Boards

Action Electronics P94 Dual ESC/Mixer Multi Controller

Action Electronics P44 Twin Relay Switch

Action Electronics P13 Ships Foghorn Hooter (VERY LOUD!)

                      Fully functional Raboesch Bow Thruster

                      Twin MFA 919D Series motors

Obviously, the weight and preciousness means I couldn't trust a carrier so it will have to be collection. I live oop North, Scarborough to be precise and again obviously viewing would be welcome. Good Yorkshire tea and biscuits provided. wink

                      I am asking £400

                      Thanks
