          Hi Andy

There is no waterline shown on Les Rowell's original Aerokits drawing, and I doubt is on the Jontika kit plan has either. The weight of batteries should be kept under the central cockpit, if you put them in the front cabin you may need ballast in the rear cabin to keep her level. The waterline on mine seemed to work out ok

            Hi Ray

Could you give me some dimensions, i.e. at stern distance up, and at bow how far from very point of bow (need to say how it is measured (I would be tempted to start at very point of bow and follow the line of the keel round – this would not be a straight line dostance, but it would give a point at the bow) then all I need to do join them up.

Picture from the side (90 deg to model) would also help.

            Thanks

                Hi Andy

The easiest way to explain is to look at Rays photo (above) and view the junction between transom and hull side, at this point the fully loaded model draws 1/2inch.

                Hope this helps

                  Hi Andy

My Sea Queen was built from the new Jontika CNC kit 3-4 years ago, it came with an 850 size motor and a large 3 blade prop, I enjoyed the build floated it twice and it was put up the loft, eventually sold to a guy called Nick who came down from Yorkshire and bought it . The attached drawing is a photo of the original Aerokits plan, with the scale pencilled on, the boot topping I've drawn on its around 1" up from the base of the transom, the stand it's sitting on is made to keep the boat level so the waterline can be drawn on with a block of wood & felt pensea queen dec 17 002.jpg and masked for painting. Hope this helps

                  Regards Ray

Ray, I can see why Andy is asking for a dimension at the front though as the waterline isn't parallel to anything.

Obviousy it could be worked out by ratios vertically where the front of the cabin meets the deck.

It all helps, but dimensions would help more.
