I am trying to obtain a set of plans to build a model of a SD 15 freighter. Seem to have tried all over.

Does anybody have any suggestions as the where these can be procured from?

There were a couple of photographs and short thread of a card and wood model on this site in 2008. Why not try sending a pm to the builder? although it isn't showing his last visit to the forum.

That is, I think, the large card model that comes in three sections. I did contact the manufacturer about three weeks ago, but he cannot help.

Appreciate the suggestion though.

Have you tryed Sunderland musum as the shipyard shut years ago and thay might hold the plans now there is a lovly model of the first sd14 in there am thinking of buying the card model and covering it in thin plastic card as my wifes farther was a ship yard worker and helped build them I got a book on the sd14 a few weeks to ago SD14 THE FULL STORY BY JOHN LINGWOOD isbn 1-901703-64-9 hope is is of help.

Thanks for your suggestions.

Have not tried the Sunderland Museam, but finally ran a Series 4 GA down at the Tyne and Wear Museam. Have also been in touch with the Roker Model Boat club, they have sent me a set of the original builders plans for the Series 3 version. Once I get them intend to copy and retain electronically, so could send you a set if you do not mind waiting.

The card model is too big for me, I want someything around 40" long.

Have also got that book, which is very enjoyable.

Newcastle Museam also have some uncatalogued drawinsg which may alos include builders plans but they are not sure yet.
