Hi all,
I have some photos of the RAF Crash Tenders Nos 93 and 94 which show the sides of the cabins to be lighter all round than the tops and decks.
A drawing I have says that deck and cabin tops are non slip and coamings (cabin sides) are smooth, but all are marked as grey. These are colour notation drawings, with all the markings spelled out and dimensioned too. Very official looking.
I'm wondering whether these were actually different shades of lightish grey and not, as always portrayed, white topped with same grey sides and deck. Non-slip will always look different from smooth, after all.
Does anyone know for absolutely certain? Or shall I be the normal Maverick and paint mine different shades of grey?
Cheers,
Martin
