I happen to know of a chap on another forum (no, not that other forum) who might be looking to buy an r/c system one of these days, and would very much have liked to be able to direct him to Dave Milbourn's most excellent article on the subject from the 2014 Winter Special.

However, as far as I've been able to find out, this article is currently only available over the web to those with a digital subscription. For my own part, no problem; I have both said digital subscription plus my paper copy of the magazine. However, I cannot easily refer someone else to either of those (well, I could make a scan from the paper copy, but that would be naughty).

I was thus wondering if the Model Boats publishers might see their way to making this article publicly available on the website in the same way that they've done with Dave Milbourn's equally splendid discourse on the electronics of model boating?

Any chance it might become publicly available on the website?

I have no objection and have put the question to Colin B. I always intended the two articles to sit side-by-side on this website anyway.

            Mattias,

There are no current plans to make the article generally available on the website although it is of course viewable by subscribers.

It is entirely up to you what you do with your personal copy of the magazine.

              Dave and Colin,

Warmest thanks to you both (and, I'm sure, to Paul Freshney as well) for taking the trouble to look into the matter and for letting me know where it's at!
