I have just taken out a subscription to the online digital magazine and would like to be able to print out the complete issue.

I can click on a single page and at the top of the page I get a box appear “Print this page” which works fine, but I don’t want to repeat that step 80 times to print the complete magazine.

If I right click, I get a print option for “Selection” or “all”. The “pages” option is greyed out. If I click “all” or “selection” It only prints the current page including the unwanted screen border.

      Anyone got any ideas.

      Best regards
      Robert

        Difficulty printing the digital magazine

          Robert,

I think the Digital Editions were intended to be read on line only, hence the lower price than for the printed copy. There is also the issue of piracy where the content could be ripped off to the detriment of the publisher as has happened with other magazines,. so we have the one page at a time print limitation. The idea is that if you want a hard copy you should take out a standard subscription, this still gives you access to digital current and back issues. There is some discussion about this on one of the sister magazines here:

from which you will see that changes are being considered.

However, printing out a whole magazine on a home printer is going to be pretty expensive in terms of ink and printer wear and tear.

          Regards,

          Colin

I agree colin, why would you want to print the whole magazine? With 4 full cartridges my epson will just about print 30 photos before 1 or more will run out. Luckily they are all seperate and i can replace individual ones. Unlike when you have a single unit.. much cheaper to purchase the hard copy in the long run considering the price of inks and good quality paper. Also Rob, this might sound a bit dull but have you considered just printing what you immediatly need a copy of? I buy the magazine and often there are articles I dont consider to be of immediate interest, but I usually always go back to the copy to read it, normally when I`m restocking the toilet library. But thats another story
