          Lovely model, Bob

I`ve reposted your picture at 1000px so we can get a close look at your workmanship

Will not do it again without your approval

          How many hours so far?

At the moment, I`m building the Jolly boat for Sovereign and the formers and planks are so small, I have to use a magnifying glass…..Can`t imagine how you build your even smaller models!

That's OK, I don't mind them being resized at all! So far, have worked 24 hours on it, but am going much slower than usual. I began it on 29th September last! I don't have any trouble at all with this scale, if fact I find larger ones much harder. I only wear reading glasses, no other visual aids!

My biggest problem these days is declining enthusiasm (on my part). I have been doing other things lately such as writing, plan drawing and designing and building a valve radio. I may finish the deck details today. Rigging is easy enough – the hull and deck fittings are the hardest part.

Not sure if you have to be named Bob to join in but I agree with Bob A. It is a lovely model Bob.

What scale is it built to?

Why does the mizzen mast slope backwards?

                Just curious

Scale as in title – 32'=1".

                  Bob

I asume you mean the jigger mast (back one). They will all slope backwards, but at the moment, they are just placed in position and final rake (slope) has not yet been fixed and jigger is at a much greater rake than fore, main & mizzen.

Deck details almost complete now. Just need to add fore & aft stay landings, ladder sides, davit rigging, pumps & navigation lights.

                          Hi Bob,

The four masts are now standing, but it was too dark to photograph them when I finished yesterday afternoon. I have also made the shrouds & ratlines for fore & main, but not fitted them yet.

The business of putting photographs on here completely defeats me!

I am extremely computer literate and can get photographs on OK, but these days, they will never enlarge no matter what I do, whether I put them on via an image shack URL or the gallery and no matter what size I make them they will not enlarge and occasionally come out all squashed up!

As I have insufficient patience to carry on trying, I will just use the Image Shack LINK as above.

                          Bob

I had to take some time off to make the base and fit the steel mounting pillars and brass pedestals. Not safe to try doing it when the model is complete. The jigger mast still appears to slope too much, but that is camera lens distortion! I will now be transferring it back to the building board and rigging is about to commence.

Still can't figure out how to make the image enlarge.    Here is Image Shack link
