Is it wise to lightly sand the surfaces of plasticard and grp and then apply primer.

Rub down lightly then wipe the surface with clean water and allow to dry naturally – this eliminates both dust and any static build-up. Don't use any washing-up liquid in the water; there are chemicals in them which reduce the paint's ability to stick to the surface.

I would add to Daves sage advice by saying that in some hard or high mineral water areas it is advisable to use pre-boiled water for the surface clean.

            Let it cool before using.
