New subscription free gifts

Hi,

Has anybody else had problems in getting their free gift from Model Boat Magazine or any other MyTimeMedia publication.

I am still waiting for my free speed controller despite many phone calls to customer services. I also had the same problem with a subscription to RCME magazine a few years ago, it took six months of phone calls before I got my gift.

Is this a deliberate ploy on their behalf to sucker in new subscriptions and only send gifts if you are persistant

There is certainly no intent to defraud, I can assure you of that. The usual practice is to see how many people take up the offer and then order the gifts from the supplier. Sometimes there is a delay. I can't really help you on the Forum but you say you have already spoken to customer services on several occasions – what did they tell you?

This has happened before to a very few folk (myself included) but, as far as I know, they were all eventually satisfied. After all, it's a bit cheeky-daft complaining about a delay in delivering something you didn't actually pay for. Stay cool.
