National Maritime Museum Storage Facility

This is within the No. 1 Smithery in The Historic Dockyard, Chatham, Kent. There are now approx. 4000 models and artefacts held here in a protected atmosphere. Viewing these is only by prior arrangement and Crowborough MBC were able recently to go on a pre-arranged visit as a group to view these now rarely seen models. Visits can be arranged by clubs and individual readers by contacting the resource in advance by email: [email protected], or tel: 02083 126561.

In addition, although it is late notice, there is a 'Behind the Scenes' visiting opportunity on Saturday 20th April, again only by individual prior booking via tel: 01634 823815.
