Look at this.

 

Feeling rather frustrated at lack of sales and the ridiculous prices that modern art was fetching, I photographed the top of my model ship paint-spraying table and presented it to the internet population as “Modern Art! It has generally been acclaimed as a masterpiece and several offers were received for it. I am not, however, all that mercenary, so I e-mailed a high resolution copy to America where it is presently being printed on canvas

-like material prior to being framed and hung!

 

What a laugh.

The artistic value surely lies in the organic way that the image developed from all those historic ship models.

 

Such a deep provenance that could not have been created in any other way must clearly give it a unique resonance in encapsulating Britain’s glorious maritime history and as such it must be regarded as a true work of art to match anything Picasso ever managed.

Thanks for replies. I was just fooling about really, never expected it to receive so much praise and appreciation. If only the models attracted a similar response. To me, it is just a painting table of no artistic merit whatsoever. I was happy to send off the Hi Res image free of charge.

I have now got a blank 14 by 10 inch oil painting canvas and I am using it as a spraying board without any planning whtosever, the same as the table. If it eventually looks interesting, I will put it on Ebay for a laugh.
