Model Figures for Aeronaut Classic

greetings all

I am trying to buy some 1/32 scale crew figures, Mountfleet Models list suitable items however I cannot contact them by email or telephone are they still in business ?

They certainly are still in business, I purchased some 1/32 figures from them at the Warwick show, they also had a pitch at the Mobile Marine 'Xmas Cracker' event.

a 4" figure sounds like a 1;20 scale./..macs models or mountfleet models offer plenty.

why does everyone that doesn't receive a message back from a trader instantly ask if they "are still in business"……..holidays after a long season trading, family crisis, illness in the winter…………….any reason…………but to think a long established business is no longer trading…………….just plain silly.

Lighten up obviously my simple query re. mountfleet Models has hit a nerve, with so many companies ceasing trading nowadays I think it reasonable that after three days of trying to contact the company by email and telephone Unsuccessfuly , I was entitled to raise a query. , If I upset you please accept my apologies, but if the same thing happens again with any another company I will adopt the same procedure.

I have now placed an order with the company , paid the bill and are awaiting the delivery.

Please forgive NH-P. He is a bit of a curmudgeon at times but he does have a point.
In the model trade, which is a very small place, rumours spread quickly and, like Chinese Whispers, one man's "are they on holiday?" can quickly turn in to "they've gone bust!". If you're the subject of such rumours – and I speak from personal experience – then it's often wearing and very difficult to scotch them. For some inexplicable reason folk are inclined more to spreading and believing bad news than good. A quick "can anyone confirm I've got the right contact details?" might be less incendiary!
BTW Adam is a decent bloke and their range of kits has had an enviable reputation since it was started by the late Frank Hinchcliffe many years ago.

I take your point that my query could have been worded differently, also as this forum is mostly read by members of the magazine , all readers now know that Moutfleetmodels are still in business and by my query and the replies published the company has gained some publicity.

I just like to add that after contacting the company I spoke to a very nice lady who dealt with my order very pleasently

and promised to dispatch my order the same day, no problems.
